The following Fishery Rules & Regulations are set by Lone Fox Angling in order to provide the most enjoyable angling experience for all and to ensure the safety of all users of the lakes. Your attention to these rules is greatly appreciated.
These rules are for the benefit of everybody at Lake Edge. Anglers following in your footsteps wish to find it as you have.
Carp Fishing in France always comes with some rules. They are in place firstly to protect the carp, but also to help all anglers have a first-class carp fishing in France holiday.
Management will not accept any responsibility for any accident or loss. Anyone who is in contravention of the rules may be given a warning, or asked to leave depending on the circumstances.
- RODS – Maximum of 3 (three) rods allowed per angler. THEY MUST NOT BE LEFT UNATTENDED AT ANY TIME. NOTE: CAUGHT USING A 4TH ROD £100 FINE
- RIGS AND HOOKS – Do not use fixed lead, tether or bent hook rigs.
- LINE – Minimum of 12lb breaking strain. Braided main lines, leaders or lead core not to be used.
- SCALES – It is compulsory for all anglers to have scales that are capable of weighing to at least 40lbs.
- UNHOOKING MATS – Large unhooking mats are compulsory and will be provided.
- LANDING NETS & WEIGH SLINGS – All landing nets and weigh slings are to be dipped prior to use on the fishery.
- PARTICAL: No peanuts or tiger nuts, or any other type of nut to be used at all.
- FISH CARE – Iodine or similar fish care products must be used on all catches.
- SACKING OF FISH – For the maximum welfare of the fish “black sacking” is strictly forbidden at all times.
- BAIT BOATS – May be used but, please have consideration for other anglers.
- RISK OF FIRE – The area surrounding the lake is forested – NO open fires are allowed.
- LITTER – Plastic sacks and bins are provided for your rubbish.
- RADIOS – Must be played at a reasonable level.
- FISH / WILDLIFE – You are fishing a beautiful lake, any damage or interference with the fish / wildlife / environmental surroundings will NOT be tolerated and you will be asked to leave immediately. Please see item 13 of Booking Terms and Conditions.
- BAIT – Particle baits MUST be bought at the lake shop. No nuts allowed.
- CHILDREN – We do not consider the fishery suitable for children under 14 years of age. All children between the ages of 14 and 16 years must be accompanied by an adult.
- ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURES – Please DO NOT enter the fishery before 12.00 noon. The draw for all swims will be made at 13.00 Saturday. Fishing to close 10.00am each Saturday. If you are going to be late for the Draw, please contact us as soon as possible to advise us of your estimated time of arrival.
- LAKE BOAT – is not available for use by clients.
- RUBBISH: Swims are to be kept free of rubbish at all times, and absolutely no cigarette ends to be left on the grounds or in the hedges. We will provide you with a lidded ashtray upon request if required.
- GENERAL – Some minor points for the benefit of all anglers will be explained upon arrival.
